in the middle

I love watching reruns of Malcom in the Middle now. Always reminds me of Walter, because of the They Might Be Giants intro, reinforced by the heavy 90's nostalgia that MitM delivers.

sip

I think what I originally wanted to say was about age And tonic water  I used to hate tonic water, and could not fathom a palate that could enjoy it, with the exception of a blasted out senior citizen. I guess between smoking cigars, post-covid, and age, I became that blasted out senior. I've been buying lots of different mixers and liqueurs for making cocktails, and only just began experimenting with tonic very recently. It's delicious. I wonder how long I would have identified it as tasting good.  Also sweet vermouth is delicious. I've been messing around with a lot of European aperitivo style drinks, good low abv kinds of stuff.

weird small joy

When the show you're watching does a truncated version of the intro so you know the actual run time is longer and likely a more fun episode

a series of texts

Making a text series, texts that I want to send to people irl, but they're either not alive anymore, or I just don't want to actually send the text to them for any number of reasons. Forgot the one I was going to start with, oh well I guess.

I Thought I Could See

I drove so.much I thought I was hallucinating once I laid down and tried to close my eyes There were shapes spinning in 3 dimensions above me and then I would be thrown back onto the road with same emotions of high speed and split second decisions

many moons

The weather is beginning to break. There's a lot I think I want to talk about, but there's a lot I don't want to talk about. I've been traveling to see friends more if you could call it that. I'm going to Peru soon. I'm still depressed. For no reason. Well anyways.

binge

Today I won Today I lost I woke up to find out I won more really nice cigars. I'm less excited than I was when I found out. I drove to Maryland and got more carts. Got a great deal, including a free 1g cart of Wedding Cake. But I also turned into the exit of a gas station in a fruitless attempt to get the cheapest gas, and swiped the curb pretty hard and bent up yet another rim. Now I'll need to take my car in to the mechanic and ensure it's safe for a drive across the country again. So I can visit New Orleans. So I can see my friends. So I can celebrate Mardi Gras. So I can see Sophie. Sophie called last night. Early this morning. She was probably in an Adderall mania, I'm not totally sure. She was vindictive. She will always be mad at me. I don't even know for what anymore. I don't know what will happen. I get so many thoughts in my head that I can't even talk about it because I'm just so confused. I wish it were just a simple thing.  My eyes are fucke...

mind over body

The real test of the mind is dominion over the body.

half an entry

It's been a while since I made a real blog entry. I suppose that's because all I've done is work. I had a couple of days off for Christmas, Christmas Eve, but All in all I've just been working. I know that earlier I had in mind things to talk about to my journal about work, but I don't know if I necessarily remember exactly what I wanted to say or why I wanted to say it. I imagine I wanted to convey some level of frustration with the incompetence, but now that I'm not there, It's a lot easier to view it from a outside perspective. It is New Year's Day now which means not much to me at all. I spent New Year's Eve working, And now my work week begins in earnest tonight. Strangely enough, I am glad to at least get back to my crew as I've grown weary of the others. People cause unnecessary drama and stress. I'm doing well with my financial goals so far, at least from a short glance that my bank account and everything. I do need to remind myself t...

Merry Christmas blog I barely use. I'm mostly just putting up a reminder that I like this painter  Renaissance painter, a lot of Christ or biblical event paintings, or Saints as well. Beautiful stuff, and has doubles of a lot of stuff which I found intriguing, finding lots of odd changes to the second piece and wondering about the reasoning for those changes. Worth a jump down a rabbit hole someday to understand this guy's work better, maybe eventually grab a few prints.

The past is never far. I have Tiffany on the brain today. I'm just thinking of things I should say to her that I won't. It would probably be simple to do so, but I just don't think I want to start a conversation. I'd anticipate questions that don't have definitive answers.  Nicotina by Warped  Warped Nicotina Type: Nicaraguan Puro (Full-Bodied / Full Strength) Factory: Aganorsa Leaf Wrapper: Corojo '99 Binder/Filler: Criollo '98 and Corojo '99 Key Flavors: Black pepper, cedar, earth, and dark fruit. Sizes: Coronado (5 1/2 x 48), Corona Gorda (6 x 46), and Toro (6 x 52). I'm not good at gauging by eye but I would assume that I'm smoking a Corona Gorda. No no. Maybe it's maybe it's a Toro I don't know. I'm bad at this. It's interesting that they're Aganorsa rolled because there's zero issue with the infamous construction problems that aganorsa usually has.  I think I was going to start talking about Molly but...

Star Trek: Enterprise

I really like this show. It has the hallmarks of 90's television, but the CGI and digital cameras of the early 2000's are also heavily present. T'Pol is a great Vulcan character, and easy on the eyes. The engineering commander also gets a ton of screen time and does plenty with it, great "cowboy" character. But captain quantum leap dude and the plot of the series are core classic star trek, truly expanding the lore in thought provoking directions.

am I the asshole?

I don't even know where to f****** begin I'm losing my f****** mind and I just need to vent because I can't actually say any of this stuff to real people because they all start f****** crying every time I talk about stuff like this or they're sick of hearing me say it because I say it everyday because it's true. Every single f****** day people from Pennsylvania are retarded. I hate this state. I hate the weather. I hate the culture or the lack thereof. I hate everything about it. I hate everything that comes from here. I hate everything that goes here every the way the roads are made makes less sense to him God f****** damn it. Everything here sucks. The people are s***** I was just telling someone the other day I have dated one one person from Pennsylvania while living in Pennsylvania. Everywhere else I've ever lived. I f***** everything that moved here. I can't f****** enjoy a human being for themselves. They're all s***** they're all selfish. They...

letters I'll never send you

You have these little isms about you. One that I'm thinking of right now is when you act out the characters that you're talking about when you tell a story about some abstract thing and you become the character for a moment and the faces you make as you express what those characters are doing  Or just watching you explain something to someone. You have a cadence and a rhythm that you enjoy and it's fun to watch you fall into it and interplay with it

placard

The word placard comes from the Middle French placard, which originally meant "a large document or poster" and was related to the verb plaquier, "to plaster, lay flat, or affix". Its ultimate root is likely the Middle Dutch placken, meaning "to patch or fix". So, it essentially describes something affixed or "plastered" onto a wall for public notice.
