I think what I originally wanted to say was about age And tonic water I used to hate tonic water, and could not fathom a palate that could enjoy it, with the exception of a blasted out senior citizen. I guess between smoking cigars, post-covid, and age, I became that blasted out senior. I've been buying lots of different mixers and liqueurs for making cocktails, and only just began experimenting with tonic very recently. It's delicious. I wonder how long I would have identified it as tasting good. Also sweet vermouth is delicious. I've been messing around with a lot of European aperitivo style drinks, good low abv kinds of stuff.
